Privacy Policy
This page explains what data the AFKast mobile and TV app collects, why we use it, and how you can exercise your rights.
01Introduction
AFKast ("the app", "we") is a media player that lets you watch your own IPTV/M3U/Xtream connections from one app, synced across your devices. This policy covers the phone, tablet, desktop and Android TV versions of the app.
By using AFKast you agree to the data practices described here. You can also use the app without an account via "Continue as Guest" — in that case no account information is collected, but cloud sync and Premium features are unavailable.
02Data We Collect
We only collect what the app needs to function:
We do not collect location, contacts, microphone, camera (outside QR pairing), or SMS data.
03How We Use Data
- Authenticating your account and securing your session
- Syncing your playlist, watch history and favorites across your devices
- Enforcing plan limits such as the number of registered devices
- Unlocking Premium features based on your purchase status
- Diagnosing and fixing app crashes
- Showing ads on the free tier (Premium is ad-free)
04Third-Party Services
We share data with the following providers, strictly for the purpose stated. Each has its own privacy policy:
We also query an external content-metadata service to enrich your movies and shows with posters, plots, genres and ratings. These lookups never include your account details, email or watch history — only general information like the title/year of the content.
05Data Sharing & Sale
We never sell your data. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above, and only as needed for them to do their job. We do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes.
06Data Security
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS; your account data is stored on Supabase's infrastructure. No system is 100% secure — while we take reasonable technical and organizational measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
07Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, use Settings → Account in the app, use the My Account page, or contact us at the address below. Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable time. Details: Account Deletion.
08Children's Privacy
AFKast is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app includes a profile system that lets a parent create a "Kid" profile with parental controls/a PIN lock to restrict content access. If you believe a child has provided us data without your knowledge, please contact us and we will delete it.
09Content & User Responsibility
AFKast is a media player — it does not host, provide, or distribute any streaming content. The app only plays back the M3U/Xtream connection details of the IPTV subscription you already own.
You are solely responsible for the legality/licensing of the streaming source you choose to use.
10Your Rights
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to:
- Know what data of yours is processed and request a copy
- Request correction of inaccurate/incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for processing that relies on it

11Changes to This Policy
